My name is Phillippe Jonta Price, Jr, and I was born and raised in Monroe, Louisiana. My mantra in life is simple, “either you stand for something or fall for anything." This philosophy helps me to be active in finding and creating solutions to the problems and issues within my school, community, and self. I am constantly looking for ways that I can become my best self and help those around me become the best they can be. I look for the opportunity to grow in all my successes and failures. I am thankful that I have a Christian family that not only supports me
but holds me accountable for goals I have set for myself.

Music captures a mood through sound, and photography is simply a beautiful way of capturing a moment in time. The visual interpretations captured by photographers are very impressive. Each of the five senses provide a unique way to experience the creativity in the human experience. A strong affinity to food helps strengthen the bond between my father and me. He enjoys cooking and preparing meals for the family, it's his passion! You can feel the love and compassion through every meal he makes us.
I think I deserve to be chosen to accept this scholarship because of my work ethic. I have been trying my hardest to be the best of the best and give everything I can. I am top of my class, have a 3.9 GPA, and got selected to be Carroll High Schools' student of the year, I will be ecstatic to be chosen to get the scholarship! Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to win this
scholarship
